Good morning.  :)  How's your Monday going so far?  Usually Monday's can be a little overwhelming, so I hope it's going well for you.

We had a great day yesterday with our son and daughters (Chinese food for dinner and then a local art fair) and today I was doubly blessed with my daughter and two of my close friends coming to visit.  We ate a great lunch HERE and then came back to our house for coffee.  I have one of those small Keurig coffee makers and it's probably one of the best gifts my husband has ever bought me.  He got it several years ago when they were much less expensive.  Anyways, coffee on demand ....does it get any better than that?  ha, ha.

About today's color palette...I love the soft muted tones that I pulled from this delicate rose photo by Ethan Ollie.  Looking at it gives me a sense of calm and reminds me of all the beauty in the world.  I encourage you to take a minute today to notice the beauty and color around you.  It makes all the difference on a stressful day ... especially on a Monday.  ;)

  1. Looks very serene. I am currently creating an inspiration board for interior design for my future home and your blog as always been soo helpful! I was wondering if you could post some inspirational photos that can help brighten up a space?

    1. Great suggestion, Maggie. I know this is a pretty subdued color scheme. What colors do you like?

  2. Helloooooooo Vicky!

Sounds like you had a wonderful two days!

You and I spent the day doing the same thing, because I got together with two of my close friends and went out for an earlier dinner; catching up over some great food and red wine.

"Anyways, coffee on demand ....does it get any better than that? ha, ha."

HA! I know what you mean because I'm a MAJOR lover of coffee, especially that first cup of the day. I use a French Press, which is a tedious way to make coffee, but tastes so good.

Lovely photo and colors you share with us today! I prefer soft muted tones too - very calming and relaxing.

Enjoy the rest of your day, dear lady!

    1. Hi there, Ron! Thanks for your message. :) Sounds like you had a fun day, too.

I agree with you about that first cup of coffee for the day. I look forward to it every morning.

I like the muted colors, too, but I'm going to start posting more of a variety for readers that prefer more vibrant color.

Here's to another great day tomorrow, Ron! :)

  3. I love the soft tones. I have been ill all day, but this photograph and these colours made me smile. Lovely!

Thanks so much for your comments. Your thoughts, opinions, and ideas are important to me!
